Hands of Hope is a community initiative restoring hope for vulnerable children and families in Kampala, Uganda through education, health, community support, and practical skills development.
Education is one of the most powerful tools we have to break the cycle of poverty. Through our Education Learning program, Hands of Hope provides school fees, scholastic materials, and ongoing mentorship to vulnerable children keeping them in the classroom and helping them thrive, both academically and personally.
For many families in and around Kampala, the cost of school fees, uniforms, and learning materials is simply out of reach especially when a parent falls ill, loses a job, or is raising children alone. Without support, children are often forced to drop out, taking on work or household responsibilities instead of continuing their education.
Our Education Learning program steps in at that critical moment. We work directly with schools and families to cover tuition and supply costs, and we pair every enrolled child with a mentor who checks in regularly to support both academic progress and personal wellbeing. This holistic approach means we're not just paying fees we're walking alongside each child's journey.
Since the program began, hundreds of children have stayed in school who otherwise would not have. Many have gone on to top their classes, pursue secondary education, and set their sights on futures in nursing, teaching, engineering, and beyond. Every child we support today is an investment in a stronger community tomorrow.
Every shilling invested in a child's education pays forward for a lifetime.
Every contribution to this program creates a ripple effect that reaches far beyond the individual child. When we invest in education, health, or skills development, we are investing in stronger families, more resilient communities, and a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Your donation or sponsorship helps cover school fees, supplies, and mentorship for children who would otherwise be forced out of the classroom. Every contribution keeps a child learning.
